FOX Sports personality Colin Cowherd thinks Zion Williamson should refuse to go to the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Pelicans won the draft lottery on Tuesday and are widely expected to select Williamson with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Cowherd points to how New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, among others, told the San Diego Chargers he wasn't going to play for them when he was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft. Cowherd says Williamson should tell the Pelicans the same thing:

Cowherd is the king of hot takes, and this is another one up his alley. Williamson probably wanted to be drafted by the New York Knicks so he could play in The Big Apple, but the high-flyer doesn't appear to have the personality of someone who would refuse to play in New Orleans.

The last time the Pelicans had the No. 1 overall pick, they selected Anthony Davis, who has requested a trade from the organization. A lot of people believe Williamson is going to join Chris Paul and Davis as superstars who played in New Orleans and ultimately asked for trades because they couldn't win there.

In his lone season at Duke, Williamson averaged 22.6 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 68.0 percent from the field, 33.8 percent from beyond the arc and 64.0 percent from the free-throw line.
