Anthony Davis thinks that the New Orleans Pelicans are made for the NBA Finals had DeMarcus Cousins been healthy. Unfortunately, the All-Star center has been listed out for the entirety of the year due to a season-ending injury suffered to the start 2018.

Cousins will be an unrestricted free agent come summertime and Davis' high-hopes on his team will not be realized if his frontcourt mate decides to change address.

While the Pelicans grind it out in the middle of the Western Conference pack, Cousins is steadily progressing in his rehabilitation. In fact, his manager in Andrew Rogers tweeted a photo of Cousins wearing a walking boot.

Cousins was having an MVP-caliber season prior to being hurt. He held averages of 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game in what has been his best season when considering the win-loss record as well.

In his absence, Davis has put up monster numbers, making NBA history on an almost-nightly basis. In February, the superstar power forward averaged 35.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 2.2 blocks while making one 3-pointer per game. The best part of it all? He's only doing this with one brow.

Jokes aside, Davis will play a huge role in convincing Cousins that New Orleans is the place to be for the coming years. When both healthy, they form, by far, the NBA's meanest frontcourt tandem and no other bigs can keep up with game-long punishment courtesy of these two behemoths.

Despite the injury, the Pelicans will still have to pony up to secure the services of Cousins. He's still worthy of a maximum contract, without a doubt.
