Favors has seen his role with the Utah Jazz dwindle ever since Gobert broke out into the scenes midway through the 2014-15 season. While Favors still kept his starting spot over the majority of the last two seasons, he did not have as much opportunities to do what he can given his somewhat limited minutes.
Given his inability to space the floor, especially with the 7-foot-1 Eiffel Tower in the middle, Favors often finished games on the bench with the Jazz.
With New Orleans, Favors should be the favorite to start at center on opening night next to first overall pick Zion Williamson. Coach Alvin Gentry's fast-paced system could potentially tap into an aspect of Favors' game that we haven't seen from him yet.
