New Orleans Pelicans forward Derrick Favors has been sidelined for two games due to a right hamstring strain, but he says he's feeling good. So good, in fact, that he's been cleared to play in Thursday night's home game against the Jazz, according to a report from Scott Kushner of The Times Picayune.

The fact that Favors is well enough to play again is great news for the Pelicans, who are currently holding a 15-26 overall record. An omnipresent force in the paint, the former No. 3 overall pick has played in 23 games this season, racking up averages of 8.7 points on 58.2 percent shooting from the field (25.0 percent from beyond the arc), 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.1 blocks in 23.5 minutes per outing.

Though he's been cleared to play in Thursday's game, the Pelicans will likely take a cautious approach to Favors' return. That means he could be placed on a minutes restriction. It will also mean less minutes for guys like Jahlil Okafor and Jaxson Hayes. Okafor was terrific in Monday night's 117-110 victory over the Pistons, scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds.

In other Pelicans injury-related news, Brandon Ingram will be a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Jazz. He's been dealing with a sore right knee, but he said that he felt fine after Monday's shootaround.

Thursday night's matchup between the Pelicans and Jazz is set to tip inside the Smoothie King Center at 8:00 p.m. ET. New Orleans will be looking to stop Utah's impressive 10-game winning streak.
