New Orleans Pelicans forward Josh Hart has been teammates with Brandon Ingram for his entire career, dating back to 2017 when Hart was drafted and both were on the Los Angeles Lakers. They stayed together when in 2019, both were dealt in a large package for Anthony Davis. Davis went on to help carry the Lakers to a championship in 2020, and if you ask some Twitter users…Ingram went on to carry Hart. Josh saw the comments of the not-so-clever troll and decided to have a little fun with this post:

These feelings of disdain for any Pelican not named Ingram probably stems from the team's 0-8 record when Ingram went down earlier this year. Without that eight-game stretch, the Pelicans would be hovering around the.500 mark instead of being one of the worst teams in the Western C0nference.

This is not at all due to the play of Hart, who is achieving career-high marks across the board. His 12.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.3 assists are all the best marks of his career while he is also hitting his marks on steals and blocks. The extra playing time has helped to increase those stats, as Hart is now playing 32 minutes per game–up from his career average of 26.

Ingram is also now at a career-high in points, rebounds, and assists per game. He leads the teams with 23.8 ppg but that has come with decreased efficiency. His 45 percent field goal percentage, 76 percent free throw percentage, and 35.4 percent three-point percentage all represent three-year lows for the forward hoping to make his first career ever NBA all-star game.
