It's been well over a year since veteran point guard Isaiah Thomas had his last taste of NBA action. On Tuesday, the two-time All-Star made his long-anticipated return to action in his debut for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Here's a look at Thomas scoring his first two points after a 459-day hiatus (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

Thomas came off the bench for the Pels and made his presence felt immediately. He caught fire as soon as he came in, scoring eight points in a little over 10 minutes of action in the first half:

It looked like Thomas has not missed a beat. He's clearly been working hard to get his game back to top form, and based on his first appearance for New Orleans here, it looks like his dedication has paid off.

Thomas is currently on a 10-day deal with the injury-plagued Pelicans. He's a well-loved figured throughout the NBA and his struggles over the past years have been well-documented. It's great that New Orleans gave him a shot here, and we all hope that he ends up signing a rest-of-the-season deal.

If there's anyone who deserves another chance at redemption, it's definitely Isiah Thomas. We're all rooting for you, I.T.
