The blockbuster trade between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans has yet to be made official, but one of the players involved in the deal appears to be excited with his new team.

Josh Hart was already seen wearing a Pelicans shirt less than 24 hours after the Lakers and the Pelicans agreed on a huge trade on Saturday night. Hart was traded along with Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and three first-round picks to the Pelicans in exchange for Anthony Davis.

Hart was a surprise addition to the trade, as earlier reports indicated that the Lakers made only Ball and Ingram available in trade talks. The Pelicans were asking for the inclusion of Kyle Kuzma, but the Lakers did not budge. In turn, the team added Hart and three first-round picks — including the fourth pick in the upcoming draft.

Hart was selected 30th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and immediately become a regular part of the rotation. In two seasons with the Lakers, the 24-year-old guard averaged 7.9 points and 3.9 rebound in 24.4 minutes per game. He is expected to play the same role in the new-look Pelicans squad next season.

The Pelicans will have a major facelift, as they move on from the Davis era. New Orleans owns the first pick in Thursday's draft and is expected to select Duke University superstar Zion Williamson.
