Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Jrue Holiday became the New Orleans Pelicans' all-time leader in three-pointers made.

Holiday passed Peja Stojakovic, who made 553 3s with the Pelicans. The All-NBA defender admits it's “pretty sweet” to make Pelicans history.

“The game changes. Threes are definitely more prevalent now than they were when I first came into the league,” Holiday said, via Pelicans.com. “But for me as a player, I try not to focus on those types of (individual) accomplishments, because I don’t want that to derail my thought process or how I approach the game. Maybe if I’m thinking about making threes, maybe I don’t drive to the basket or make an easy play (to get an assist to) someone else.

“Is it cool, though? Yeah. It’s pretty sweet, to be a part of franchise history in anything.”

Holiday not only made Pelicans history on Wednesday, but he also helped New Orleans snap a 13-game losing streak. The Pelicans defeated the Timberwolves to earn their seventh win of the season.

Holiday is averaging 19.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game this season for New Orleans. He's shooting 43.8 percent from the field, 34.2 percent from beyond the arc and 67.9 percent from the free-throw line.
