The New Orleans Pelicans managed to secure an impressive victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday afternoon. In the process, Jrue Holiday was able to make franchise history.

According to Will Guillory of The Athletic, Holiday joins Demarcus Cousins and Tyreke Evans as the only players in team history to finish with at least 37 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds in single game:

Perhaps even more impressive is the efficient fashion he did it in, shooting 13-of-20 from the field while hitting all but one of his nine attempts from the charity stripe. Holiday also made his presence felt on the defensive end with a steal and a block in the 120-107 victory on the road.

The Pelicans have now managed to string together back-to-back wins to help make up for their recent three-game losing streak. With the battle for the eighth seed in the Western conference in full swing, every game will count down the stretch of the 2019-20 NBA season if they hope to make the playoffs.

Although most of the attention has been fixated on the Pelicans' talented young trio of Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball, they will need Jrue Holiday to continue to play at a high level if they have any hope of getting into the playoff picture.

New Orleans is on the outside looking in at the moment at 28-36; however, the Pelicans do find themselves within striking distance of the Memphis Grizzlies and their .500 record.
