Jrue Holiday has revealed himself to be a fan of Jaxson Hayes' game during the season. Naturally, the New Orleans Pelicans guard was asked about his reaction to the incredible Jaxson Hayes putback to J.J. Redick's miss.

ESPN's Andrew Lopez was present when Holiday fawned over the freakish athleticism Hayes showcased to the rest of the world. He praised the 19-year-old rookie as if he was his own son.

The high praise the 6-foot-11 big man is getting isn't just coming out of nowhere. The former Texas Longhorn has been nothing short of solid for the Pelicans this season. He's established himself as a solid rotation option, averaging 18.5 minutes a contest. He also has put up the numbers to back him up with 8.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks every game. He is performing well so far, and it wouldn't be a stretch to include him to the Rising Stars Challenge.

However, he was not included in the game that features the game's best young talent in spite of his production. Hayes was understandably upset with the snub and went on an expletive-filled rant saying that the voting was rigged. He has since apologized for his behavior.

Holiday stood up for his rookie. Per Cody Taylor of the Rookie Wire, Holiday revealed that he far from happy when he found out he wasn't on the list. He believes that Hayes has done more than enough throughout the season to warrant his inclusion in the game. Unfortunately, not everyone can make the game.

All he can do right now is to make everyone regret sleeping on him and finish the season strongly.
