The Kentucky Wildcats destroyed the Utah Utes in college basketball Saturday, and New Orleans Pelicans big man Julius Randle is letting his pal, Los Angeles Lakers small forward Kyle Kuzma, know all about it.

Julius Randle played his college ball at Kentucky, while Kyle Kuzma starred at Utah. The two youngsters were teammates with the Lakers as well, making this friendly rivalry even more fun.

Kentucky defeated Utah by a final score of 88-61 at home. The Wildcats are now 8-2 on the season, while the Utes dropped to 4-5.

Julius Randle only played one year at Kentucky before being drafted by the Lakers with the seventh overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. Kyle Kuzma, on the other hand, played three years at Utah. The Lakers selected Kuzma with the 27th overall pick in the 2017 Draft.

Randle and Kuzma were teammates for one season last year. The Lakers renounced Randles' free agent rights over the summer. The big man signed a two-year, $17.71 million free agent deal with the Pelicans.

Thus far, Julius Randle seems at home in the Big Easy alongside fellow former Wildcat Anthony Davis, who, ironically, has been mentioned in several rumors involving the Kyle Kuzma's Lakers.

Quite possibly, the next bet these two good friends would have concerns Davis' next destination.
