When the New Orleans Pelicans take on the Utah Jazz during the NBA's Saturday action, Lonzo Ball is expecting to be on a 25-minute limit on his playing time, according to Will Guillory of The Athletic.

Ball returned to the Pelicans' lineup on Thursday during their 124-121 win over the Phoenix Suns. He ended his performance after 19 minutes and recorded 8 points (33.3% FG, 28.6% 3P), 1 rebound, 5 assists, and 3 turnovers within that time.

Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry stated in the post-game press conference that Ball ‘did a great job' against the Suns despite being limited.

“I thought he did a great job. You know, he was limited. We ended up playing him a stretch there where he was king of going pretty good, but had limited minutes. I thought he did a good job. I think he was driving the ball, even though he got an offensive foul, but that doesn’t bother me at all because I think that when we drive that ball in that point, we give ourselves an opportunity to find open shooters and you can see that when we find open shooters, we shoot the ball pretty well.”

Injuries have been a major problem for the Pelicans so far this season. Despite that fact, they have a 6-9 record to start the season and are just 1.5 games back from the 8th spot in the Western Conference standings.

It will be fascinating to see if the Pelicans are capable of making a playoff push after getting key players back healthy, particularly Zion Williamson.
