The New Orleans Pelicans recently reloaded their weapons ahead of the 2020-2021 NBA season which saw them flip veteran playmaker Jrue Holiday for Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, and three first-round picks from the Milwaukee Bucks. Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball recently spoke of the team's new dynamics especially with the addition of Bledsoe.

“I think it’ll be kind of the same thing. It’s probably going to be one of the fastest backcourts in the league, so that’s a plus. Just try to get him the ball as much as possible and start the break. I know Eric’s great in transition and I know he’s a great penetrator as well. For me, when he has the ball, give him space, spot up and be ready to knock it down for him,” he said via USA Today.

After spending time with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Phoenix Suns, the former Kentucky Wildcat eventually had a three-year stint with the Bucks from 2017 to 2020. His most recent campaign saw him tally averages of 14.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.4 assists through 61 games played for the team last season.

Bledsoe's arrival to New Orleans will be a solid addition to the team, especially on the offensive end. Though he lacks accuracy from beyond the arc, the 30-year-old makes up for it with his explosive drives to the basket by maximizing his athleticism.

Not only his contributions on the floor but also his presence in the locker room will prove to be integral for the team moving forward. His abundant playing experience could be valuable in the long run as he aims to be a mentor for a rebuilding team filled with young pieces like the Pelicans.
