New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball says it's a “blessing” to be in New Orleans.

Ball has only heard great things about The Big Easy. The guard says there's no other city in the world like New Orleans.

Lonzo Ball is excited for this new chapter of his NBA career with the Pelicans. The former No. 2 overall pick never quite lived up to the hype with the Los Angeles Lakers. In New Orleans, all eyes are going to be on Zion Williamson, so Ball will be able to blend in and just focus on basketball.

Ball has career averages of 10.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 99 games. The 21-year-old is already an elite perimeter defender, but he's going to have to become a better shooter in New Orleans. Ball is shooting just 38.0 percent from the field, 31.5 percent from beyond the arc and 43.7 percent from the free-throw line in his first two seasons in the league.

The Pelicans can't wait to see Ball and Jrue Holiday play together. The two guards are going to wreck havoc on opposing guards in 2019-20. Some believe the Pelicans can make the playoffs with their revamped roster.

Along with acquiring Ball, Josh Hart and Brandon Ingram in the Anthony Davis trade, New Orleans acquired Derrick Favors from the Utah Jazz and signed JJ Redick in free agency.
