Drew Brees' future with the New Orleans Saints remains unknown after their unceremonious playoffs exit at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Should he decide to call it a career, however, fans might not need to look far for his replacement. After all, New Orleans Pelicans big man Steven Adams might be up for the role.

During Tuesday's showdown between the Pelicans and the Utah Jazz, Adams gave his best quarterback audition with a brilliant full-court heave to Zion Williamson for the easy slam.

While there wasn't much reaction to it–with no fans in attendance–Steven Adams should be commended with the way he made the pass look so easy. It was also well on point, as Zion didn't even struggle in catching the ball despite the Jazz players just behind him.

The 27-year-old New Zealand international is a physical specimen who is known for dominating the glass, but teams will certainly take another look at his often underappreciated passing.

Of course, being a quarterback is more than just about passing, but Drew Brees will surely be proud of the Pelicans big man with that arm strength and accuracy.

Unfortunately for the Pelicans, their efforts were not enough to outlast the Jazz, with Utah winning 118-102. For his part, Adams finished with nine points, six rebounds and one assist.

Zion recorded a game-high 32 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 28 points, seven boards and four dimes.
