Zion Williamson's endorsement deal with Nike's Jordan Brand is worth $75 million over seven years. The New Orleans Pelicans forward repotedly spurned bigger deals to join the brand of his childhood idol, Michael Jordan.

On Wednesday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski clarified that the $75 million actually runs over five years, so an average of $15 million per year.

For his on-court performance, however, Williamson is slotted to earn $20 million within his first two seasons with New Orleans. Williamson's NBA contract pales in comparison to his sneaker endorsement — the combination of two team options and a fifth-year qualifying offer from the Pelicans would only amount to roughly $60 million.

Tuesday's Jordan announcement with Zion comes off the heels of former Blue Devils teammate Cam Reddish signing with Nike. The pair's other Duke teammate RJ Barrett, who was selected third overall by the New York Knicks, is still unsigned.

Williamson averaged 22.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game in 33 appearances for Duke in his lone collegiate season.

The 6-foot-7 forward also participated in the NBA's Las Vegas Summer League for New Orleans; however, he only appeared in the first, abbreviated Vegas game against Barrett and the Knicks. Zion departed at halftime after making knee-to-knee contact with another player, and the Pels eventually ruled him out for the rest of the offseason exhibition.

Former Pelicans star Anthony Davis, traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in June before the draft, is a Nike athlete.
