New Orleans Pelicans big man Zion Williamson continues to impress early on in his NBA tenure. After all, the former Duke Blue Devils standout will quite literally put the basketball in the hoop over just about anyone in front of him.

With Williamson dominating at both the high school and collegiate levels before eventually making his way to New Orleans as the top pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, the Pelicans superstar has seemingly had no issue making the transition to the highest level. In fact, Utah Jazz big man Derrick Favors found that out the hard way on Tuesday evening.

Williamson didn't even make it out of the first quarter without making a truly spectacular play, this time at the expense of the aforementioned Favors.

Unfortunately for Zion Williamson–and fans of dominant play–his initial NBA campaign was plagued by injury. The young phenom only made 24 regular season appearances for the Pelicans in 2019-20.

With Williamson back to full health for his second go-round as a member of the Pelicans, the up-and-coming big man has been a force and then some thus far into the 2020-21 campaign.

As Williamson continues to progress, so will the new-look New Orleans–a team that continues to add young talent to its core. Of course, things won't be easy for the Pels, as they still play in the always competitive Western Conference. New head coach Stan Van Gundy will have his hands full as NOLA looks to make the leap.
