There's much to be excited about for New Orleans Pelicans fans in the upcoming season. Entering the new year with a completely overhauled team, the Pelicans have emerged as one of the more intriguing teams in the league. Even first overall pick Zion Williamson could not hide his excitement for the new season, with the team's fast-paced offense particularly catching his fancy.

The New Orleans faithful have not looked forward to a new season with this much anticipation for quite some time, and it is due in large part to the very excitable debut of the phenom that is Zion. This early on, the 18-year-old appears to be buying in on head coach Alvin Gentry's system, and this is definitely one of the first steps towards a potentially successful season for the entire franchise.

With their activity in the offseason so far, the Pelicans have amassed a lot of weapons at their disposal. Veteran superstar point guard Jrue Holiday will still remain to be the team's talisman moving forward, and the additions of Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, J.J. Redick, and of course, Williamson, makes for a very potent offensive force that will surely be quite enjoyable to watch.

However, as with any new team, a learning curve is to be expected, and surely, the Pelicans will have their ups and downs this season. Nonetheless, with this much talent on the squad, things are definitely looking up for New Orleans.
