Zion Williamson's high school coach, Lee Sartor, says Williamson will be prepared to be the face of the New Orleans Pelicans franchise if Anthony Davis is traded this summer.

By all accounts, it appears Davis isn't going to change his mind about wanting to be traded by the Pelicans. Sartor says because Williamson has been in the spotlight since he was a teenager, the hoopla in the NBA won't affect the high-flyer.

“You’ve got to remember, Zion is one of these people that grew up in the social media world,” Sartor told William Guillory of The Athletic. “He’s always kind of been the face of everything he’s done up to this point. The thing that’s really impressed me about him is that, despite all of the popularity he possesses, he has always remained humble and respectful. That’s the same approach he’ll have at the next level.

“I don’t see him changing. The work ethic he has and the servant heart he has is something everyone will be able to see and I think he will be able to inspire a lot of people — his teammates, his coaches, the organization, the city — because of the way he approaches the game.”

The Pelicans are expected to draft Williamson with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, which will be held on June 20.

Williamson averaged 22.6 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game in his lone season at Duke while shooting 68.0 percent from the field, 33.8 percent from beyond the arc and 64.0 percent from the free-throw line.
