New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson didn't play a single game in the 2021-22 season because of his foot injury, but it was clear by the end of it that he was getting pretty close to full health again. Zion was seen on multiple occasions throwing down dazzling dunks in warmups and practice, leaving some to wonder why he wasn't playing.

Williamson apparently showed off again during a return to Duke, working out at the K Center and putting on a dunking display. Unfortunately, there's no video right now, so this is just a tease:

The Pelicans star also had a message for all the fans out there about his return to Duke:

Pelicans fans are dying to see Zion back out on the court again after this drama-filled 2021-22 campaign. His foot surgery from last offseason kept him out to start the season, and then he kept suffering setbacks that kept him off the floor.

Meanwhile, New Orleans stumbled out of the gates, only to recover and make the play-in tournament. The trade for CJ McCollum provided a major boost, and the Pelicans took the top-seeded Suns to six games in the first round after winning a pair of play-in games.

Adding a healthy Zion to this group that already features so much young talent plus several key veterans would be really exciting. New Orleans is hoping Williamson can finally stay healthy and fulfill his potential. This latest news out of Duke will only get Pelicans fans more excited … but now we just need to see this video!
