In just his second year in the league, New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson has aligned himself with NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar through an awesome statistic.

Per ESPN, Williamson has scored at least 20 points on 50 percent shooting in 14 consecutive games. This ties Abdul-Jabbar for the longest streak by any player in his first two seasons.

It's one hell of a crazy stat. Williamson is definitely showing everyone why he was the first overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Pelicans fans already knew that he was the real thing, but some are probably surprised how good Zion is.

Prior to Wednesday's game, Williamson was averaging 25.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. He's also shooting 61.4 percent from the field, which ranked fifth in the league. Moreover, he's the only player who's shooting at least 60 percent from the field and averaging 16.0 field goal attempts. It proves how efficient Zion is amid his high usage rate.

It's crystal clear why the Pelicans youngster is posting such stellar numbers. As for one, he knows his main strengths. He's stronger and quicker than most forwards and centers. Second, he knows how to utilize these assets very well.

It also helps that Pelicans head coach Stan Van Gundy has set up individual offensive sets for him. Of course, there's his teammate Lonzo Ball who throws him lobs more often than not.

Zion Williamson has a chance to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record on Thursday against the Miami Heat. It'll be a tough assignment especially since the Heat are a very good defensive team, but we can expect that Zion wn't go down without a fight.
