New Orlean Pelicans Superstar Zion Williamson has not played a game yet this season due to his injury. The team has struggled without him.

Christian Clark, Pelicans beat writer for Nola News reported,

Willie Green on Zion being cleared to do contact work: “There is still some work to do in front of him, but it’s definitely light at the end of the tunnel.”

This isn't a good sign for Pelicans and their fans as they are already struggling this year and losing their Superstar player for any longer is a huge blow. The Pelicans currently have the second-worst record in the NBA. They are 2-13 on the year. If they want to be any sort of competitive, they need Zion back as soon as possible.

Not only is Zion's injury a major issue for the Pelicans, but he has also expressed displeasure in New Orleans.

None of these signs are good for the Pelicans. Zion doesn't look like he's going to be back anytime soon and when he does get back, it's going to take him some time to get back to 100%. New Orleans is also going to have to worry about the possibility of Zion leaving. At this point, they might as well keep losing because the playoff hopes are already extremely low. The Pelicans can hope that they get the top pick in the NBA lottery and try to find a player that will fit alongside Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.
