Pelicans video: Rajon Rondo’s football skills catch the eye of Saints’ Drew Brees
Rajon Rondo has made a career out of making remarkable passes on the basketball court. But maybe he could’ve made a career out of playing quarterback in the NFL had he so chosen.
The New Orleans Pelicans guard shared an Instagram video of him spending time in the Saints’ practice facility to show off his arm, and as it turns out, he’s got himself a cannon.
It’s a bit unclear what Rajon Rondo did in the video to make star quarterback Drew Brees and the other Saints players go bananas around him, but a good guess would be that Rondo managed to hit the bull’s eye and shoot the ball into one of the bins that were near the wall.
It takes some pretty impressive skill for Rondo to hit the target from such a long distance. It’s enough to make you wonder if Rondo can improve his 60 percent career free throw percentage and 30 percent 3-point percentage if he just shoots quarterback-style. Whatever he’s done to this date hasn’t worked, so what’s the harm in trying?
