With the trade deadline just a few days away, rumors involving New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball are ramping up. According to the latest whispers, Atlanta Hawks second-year swingman Cam Reddish is at the center of such trade talks.

In a report by Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, teams such as the Chicago Bulls and the Atlanta Hawks are interested in acquiring Ball via trade. There are not many details involving the Hawks-Pelicans potential deal. But second-year man Cam Reddish is rumored to be at the center of the transaction.

For the Bulls, they have reportedly offered Tomas Satoransky and second-round picks. However, the Pelicans would are asking at least one good first-round pick or a young player in the package.

The report added that the Pelicans can either pull the trigger this season or wait for the offseason where the list of potential trade partners could expand.

However, Ball is going to be a restricted free agent this season. For both Hawks and the Bulls, they would need to quickly evaluate if Ball's style of play would fit into their system. Note that the Hawks already have Trae Young as their point guard. He seems like a good fit for Zach LaVine but that's still a matter of wait-and-see.

Given Ball's relative improvement this season, it is expected that he'll demand a pretty hefty contract. So the Hawks and the Bulls need to think on their toes before they grant his wishes or watch him walk away. If he does the latter, then the trades would been for nothing.
