When the Golden State Warriors won the NBA title in 2015, Alvin Gentry was already looking ahead. During the postgame celebration in the locker room, he called out for Anthony Davis and told Steve Kerr that they were going to get back there.

At that point, Gentry had already been hired for the New Orleans Pelicans job but was coaching out the rest of that year as an assistant on Kerr's staff.

It looks like now that Gentry is finally going to get his wish to go head to head against Kerr in the playoffs. The Warriors did lose their game on Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs but they still hold a 3-1 lead and are heading back to Oracle.

For Anthony Davis and the Pelicans, they have a little time to relax before they will have to take on the winner of the Spurs and Warriors series. They had no problem winning their first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers.

They made life really tough all series on C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard and that was the difference in that series. Against the Warriors, they are going to have to play the same type of defense.

They are going to need to try and make life really tough on Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and if he's back, Stephen Curry. Even without Curry back this series should be more exciting than most people would have thought when DeMarcus Cousins went down with an injury just a few months ago.
