Christmas is over but New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis still exudes the spirit of giving – giving facial dunks that is.

At one point during Saturday night’s home game against the visiting New York Knicks, Davis decided to go medieval on the Knickerbockers, driving down the baseline and going up for a vicious slam right in the face of Baker, who was brave enough to challenge Davis midair even though he knew full well how it’s going to end up and that’s with him being a nice piece of adornment on the Pelicans big man’s poster.

Ron Baker never had a chance of blocking that shot. In fact, even a dozen of Bakers won’t be able to stop Anthony Davis from completing his highlight-reel worthy slam.

Even worse for Baker, he also needed to get stitched up after getting hit by Davis’ elbow, per Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

To summarize, Baker got his dignity and face destroyed all in one play.

If it’s any consolation, Baker and the Knicks got away with a 105-103 win.

Still, it’s clearly not a good day for Ron Baker, who finished with zero points in just nine minutes of action against the Pelicans.
