Lonzo Ball's career with his new team, the New Orleans Pelicans, is off to a rocky start after some old footage surfaced wherein the former Los Angeles Lakers stud appears to be criticizing the city of New Orleans.

The brief clip is an excerpt from Ball's reality TV show, “Ball in the Family,” as the 6-foot-6 point guard is shown talking about his rather forgettable experience during a trip to the world-famous Bourbon St. of New Orleans. Let's just say that the city did not exactly leave the best impression on Ball.

The internet never forgets, and this is another perfect example of this idiom. Ball could not have known that he was eventually going to land in New Orleans when he provided this unsatisfactory review of the city, and right now, we're pretty sure he'd want to take it back if he could. Then again, maybe he had a hunch already at that point, but was just trying to do everything he could to try and veto a possible deal.

Well, whatever the case may be, the fact of the matter is that Ball is now a Pelican. The 21-year-old arrives in New Orleans as part of the deal that is centered around Anthony Davis. We're not exactly sure how Pelicans supporters will respond to this, but at this point, they should start getting used to all the noise and drama surrounding the promising guard, and of course, his loudmouth father, LaVar Ball. The Ball is definitely in their court now.
