The New Orleans Pelicans are having a grand time against the Chicago Bulls, and things have been clicking on multiple fronts of the game. In fact, Jaxson Hayes showed everyone how good the game has been going with an emphatic putback slam off a JJ Redick three.

It was a fantastic display of athleticism from the 6'11” center who managed to corral the high bounce of Redick's miss. The way he also powerfully slammed the ball to the basket left even his veteran teammate in awe, as shown in the Bleacher Report video.

Hayes is proving himself to be an exciting addition to the eye-catching playstyle the Pelicans have been gunning for recently. With two very diverse frontcourt players in Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram flanking him, he's set to have an exciting rookie year. In fact, some fans even call Hayes' exclusion from the Rising Stars Challenge as the wrong decision.

He's having a productive rookie season for the Pelicans so far, averaging 8.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks a game. Expect to see more high-flying action from him in the coming days.
