New Orleans Pelicans players and coaches congratulated swingman Brandon Ingram following the announcement of his selection as a reserve in the 2020 NBA All-Star Game.

Ingram, in turn, voiced his appreciation for his teammates and other members of the organization:

Not much has gone right for the Pelicans this season, but Ingram has been a bright spot in his first season with New Orleans.

The 22-year-old is averaging 25.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists while shooting over 47 percent from the field and better than 40 percent from beyond the arc. This is the kind of player the Pelicans hoped they were receiving when they traded Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers last summer.

New Orleans has a few more reasons to celebrate amidst a two-game winning streak. The team is finally fully healthy with the return of Zion Williamson, and they seem poised to make one final run at the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference after the All-Star break.

First, however, the Pelicans will send Ingram to Chicago.
