During the fourth quarter against the Detriot Pistons, Zion Williamson is seeing falling asleep on the bench.

The Pelicans were up by as many as 12 points during the fourth quarter but struggled to keep the lead on the Pistons. The game ended up going into overtime, however, the Pelicans scored 15 points to win their second consecutive game. Those 15 points scored during overtime were more than they scored during the entire fourth quarter.

Williamson is set to make his NBA debut on Thursday against the Utah Jazz. He has generated a lot of hype ever since his college days at Duke University. The No 1. pick of the 2019 draft has missed the first 42 games of the season because of a torn meniscus he suffered back in October.

Williamson's injury required surgery. However, he's believed to be fully healed as he's already participated in five-on-five practices. During the regular season, Williamson averaged 23.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He's showed true potential of becoming a star in the league during the preseason.

The Pelicans are currently the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a record of 16-26. Despite their bad record, they're only four games behind the Memphis Grizzlies, who are the eighth seed. Once Williamson eases back in the lineup, the Pelicans could most certainly stage a run for the lowers playoff seeds.

The Pelicans are seeking to extend their win streak to three when they host the Jazz on Thursday.
