The Philadelphia Eagles are set to take on the New York Jets in an interesting Week 13 contest. The Eagles and Jets are two teams that have disappointed this season, and now it's time take a look at four bold predictions for Philadelphia in this Week 13 game.

New York has definitely underperformed much worse than the Eagles, but Philly has had some games slip away from them. In Week 12, the Eagles got embarrassed and lost to the New York Giants, 13-7. Their offense couldn't get anything going and then stumbled at the very end with a chance to win. They have had issues at times with their offense all season long, but this was the worst offensive performance.

For more insight on the Eagles' Week 13 matchup against the Jets, listen below:

Jalen Hurts went a horrible 14-of-31 for only 129 yards and threw an astonishing three interceptions. If Philadelphia wants any chance of winning the division, the offense will need to be much better. Catching game-winning touchdown passes instead of dropping them would also help.

The Eagles will look to get back on track in Week 13 against a below-average Jets team.

Philadelphia Eagles Week 13 Predictions

4. Jalen Hurts plays better but not great

It would almost be impossible for Jalen Hurts to play worse than he did against the Giants a week ago. Throwing three interceptions in the same game is a tough look. Philadelphia relies heavily on the passing game for some odd reason, so in order to win, Hurts must play much better.

He's not the greatest quarterback in the NFL, but he is still serviceable and can help a team win game. Not all the blame can go on him, of course, thanks to the drops and questionable play calling.

Hurts needs to be much better than he was a week ago, and he's going to do so. He won't have a crazy stat line, but he will finish with over 200 passing yards for one touchdown and only throw one interception.

3. Miles Sanders finally gets more touches

Whether it's Miles Sanders or Boston Scott, Philadelphia needs to run the football more. The Eagles saw last week against the Giants that when they run the football, they move the ball and it opens up the offense.

Sanders has shown with his limited touches that he could be a very good running back in the NFL. Philadelphia's offensive coordinator needs to get this through his head. They will rely on Sanders to carry this offense much more than they usually do.

2. Defense continues to play well

If there's one unit that cannot be blamed for the Eagles' ugly loss against the Giants, it's the defense. Their defense did everything that you can ask for in the NFL. They  held Saquon Barkley to only 40 yards on the ground and only gave up 13 points. That should be enough to win a football game.

Philly's defense is going to continue playing well this week against a Jets offense led by Zach Wilson, who hasn't been good as a rookie.

1. Philadelphia wins on a last-minute field goal

This is going to be a close game because the Eagles do not have a high-powered offense. They're going to struggle to score at times. The Jets also have a decent defense, so it's going to be even tougher for them to score than usual.

Philadelphia is going to rely on a last-minute field goal to secure the victory and help its cause in the NFC East race.
