Philadelphia Phillies new star outfielder Nick Castellanos is never one to mince words. The slugger shared his straight forward opinion once again on Wednesday during a press conference. Castellanos was asked about the Phillies fan base, and his response is so blunt that it is almost comical.

“If you're playing well, they're gonna let you know. If you suck, they're gonna let you know. I can live with that.”

He is certainly not wrong. Philadelphia fans are known for being one of the most passionate fan bases in all of sports. Whether, they are cheering on the Phillies, Eagles, 76ers, or Flyers, you are going to know if you are succeeding or struggling as a player without question. Just ask Ben Simmons

Castellanos was far from done providing entertaining answers in his press conference. Here is another memorable quote from Nick Castellanos today.

“I’ve made money. I’ve hit homers. I’ve played on TV. But I haven’t won any games that matter.”

And finally, he capped it all off with this one.

“I don’t have a college degree. I hit baseballs.”

While some players opt for clean cut, dried out responses in interviews, it is clear that this is a player who is as genuine as it gets. He is pretty good at baseball as well. Castellanos made his first All-Star team in 2021 and finished the season hitting .309/.362/.576 with 34 home runs and 100 RBI's. He will look to produce another All-Star caliber season in 2022 while helping Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies reach the playoffs.
