The Philadelphia Phillies lost 2-0 to the San Diego Padres Thursday afternoon. The loss wrapped up the three-game matchup, and the Padres took the series win 2-1.

Despite the disappointing and rather boring game on Thursday, there were a few bright moments for Philadelphia fans off of the field.

First, Bryce Harper made a fan's day in the sixth inning with the trade of a lifetime. He asked the fan for his hat, and, in return, Harper would give him his, signed by the slugger himself.

The transaction between the two was awesome, but Nick Castellanos' son managed to outshine Harper's mid-game gesture.

At the end of the matchup, the Phillies had one final half inning to put runs on the board. One Philadelphia ball flew foul and ended up next to a fan, who handed the foul ball to a young boy. That young boy just so happened to be Nick Castellanos' son. He insisted that the keepsake went to another young fan below him.

Check out the heartwarming interaction, tweeted by Jomboy Media Thursday night.

While the Phillies weren't able to pull off a late-game win, there's no doubt that Castellanos felt like a winning father Thursday afternoon.

The Phillies will attempt to break above .500 in their upcoming series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Game 1 of the three-game series is Friday night at Citizens Bank Park.
