Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber has proven to be one of baseball's most explosive hitters. He has also been called one of the game's best teammates.

As the All-Star break is underway, many of the game's elite are currently gathered in Los Angeles. With Schwarber on his fourth team in the last two seasons, many of baseball's best players have had their run-ins with him. None of these players have had a bad thing today about him.

Schwarber, a now two-time All-Star, is currently in the middle of arguably his best season. Through 336 at-bats, he has recorded 70 hits, 29 home runs, and 58 RBIs.

While Kyle Schwarber has found success this season, he has also been applauded as a great teammate.

With many of Schwarber’s former teammates currently all in the same place for the All-Star game, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer took the chance to find out a little more about the big hitter.

Lauber spoke with several players, including Ian Happ and Trea Turner. Each player he spoke with met Kyle Schwarber at different points in his career. But they all still similarly spoke about him. Everyone included how willing he is to help, and how kind he is to those around him.

Trea Turner, who was teammates with Schwarber while on the Washington Nationals, spoke about what he brings to an organization.

“Talk to him, and you’ll find out real quick why he’s such a great teammate. He jokes around. He’s in the middle of everything. He’s friends with everybody. He kind of brings everybody together. It’s just who he is.”

Schwarber, who was on the Nationals for just four months, was still able to impact those around him.

Lauber also spoke with Ian Happ, who was Schwarber's teammate during his time with the Chicago Cubs. Ian Happ, much like Trea Turner, emphasized how Schwarber impacts the rest of the players on the team.

“During the game, man, he’s so invested in your at-bats,” He pays attention to the sequences that pitchers had on you. He talks through it with you. Screams at umpires when there’s a bad call. Screams for you when you hit a homer. That guy is such an unbelievable teammate because he cares so much.”

Kyle Schwarber has already achieved a lot during his career. A World Series victory, multiple trips to the All-Star Game, and many other things. But his willingness to be a solid teammate should help him stand out. His ability to help those around him become better is worth noting.
