It was just another preseason game on the schedule for the Phoenix Suns and the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night. Preseason games are expected to be a little boring with both teams playing third strings, but this game turned into a very good one.

Within 15 games of game action, the Jazz had blown the game open with a 46-16 lead, but the Suns cut the 30-point deficit all the way down to 18 just before the halftime buzzer. Phoenix eventually game roaring back in the fourth quarter behind 11 points from Archie Goodwin, including a thunderous dunk with under 10 seconds to go to give the Suns the lead for good.

After the game, a look at the final boxscore delivered some staggering numbers. The Suns committed 40 fouls while the Jazz committed 39, but the more shocking stat was the combined 106 free throw attempts by both teams. Phoenix shot 39-53 from the line, led by center Alex Len‘s 9-10 shooting, while Utah shot 41-53, led by center Rudy Gobert‘s 11-15 shooting from the line.

Clearly, both teams have issues to clear up on the defensive end to not allow the opponent to shoot 50+ free throws.
