It has become commonplace to see NBA players take up rapping as a hobby.  Lonzo Ball, Damian Lillard, Metta World Peace, and Kobe Bryant have all tried their hand in the rap game, just to name a few.

After the release of his EP titled “For Your Information”, you can now add Andre Drummond to the list.

The Detroit Pistons 7-footer advertised the release of his 8 track EP on Instagram, providing a link to Spotify so followers could give his music a listen.

Whenever an athlete releases a whole EP like this, there is always people out there that question if this is really a good way for the athlete to be spending their time, instead of focusing on their training in order to improve their craft.

Andre Drummond had an answer lined up for these questions, and even incorporated the answer in the title of his EP.

“Everyone always has something to say about what I do so for your information, I can do anything I put my mind to…I’m able to perform on the court and make music at the same time. I was the leading rebounding champion again and I’m releasing this project. I feel like there is nothing I can’t do so FYI I can do it.”

It's clear that Drummond is not short of confidence. Hopefully his confidence in his rap ability transfers on to the court when the regular season comes around, and he can propel the Piston's to a playoff berth in a weakened and now LeBron-less Eastern Conference.
