Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond will replace Washington Wizards point guard John Wall in the All-Star Game on Team LeBron, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.

Drummond made a fuss when he was not selected originally as a reserve last week, even going as far as to question if he needed to do back flips to gain the attention of coaches selecting the team.

Wall is to miss 6-8 weeks with an injury now, making him the second player since DeMarcus Cousins of the New Orleans Pelicans to be removed from LeBron James' All-Star team due to injury.

Drummond is having a fine season for a Pistons team that is now poised to make a run to the playoffs after acquiring Blake Griffin in a trade yesterday from the L.A. Clippers. Drummond is putting up averages of 14.7 points and a league-leading 15.1 rebounds while shooting 54.4 percent from the floor. He's also drastically improved his free throw shooting this season, hitting on 62.5 percent compared to just 38.6 percent a season ago.

Coaches still will always play favorite to those on teams with more success and sitting outside of the Eastern Conference playoff race certainly hurt Drummond's chances. Besides that, his numbers speak for themselves and his vast improvement from the line says a lot about his commitment to improving.

Now all eyes will be on Detroit a little closer with Griffin in town and it will be extremely interesting to see how he exists with the All-Star, Drummond.
