As the names of the All-Star reserves were revealed on Tuesday, there are some big name players who were not included in the list but have made strong cases to be part of the annual showcase. One of them is Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond, who can be considered one of the most notable snubs this year.

The 24-year-old Connecticut product took to his Twitter account after the announcement to make his thoughts public about his non-inclusion. He was obviously not pleased with it and even sarcastically said that he may do backflips after games for him to get noticed more. He then added that he will just move on from it.

Drummond is having a very solid season for the Pistons and is averaging 14.3 points, 3.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks to go along with his league-leading 15.0 rebounds per game. More importantly, he has led his team to a 22-23 record, currently good for ninth place, and should be part of the dog fight for one of the last playoff spots in the Eastern Conference.

The development can be considered a frustrating one for Drummond, but if he uses it as motivation to become even better, it could take his game to the next level which will benefit him and his team even more. Should that happen, he does not need to anything extra anymore as he will surely gain a lot more attention and it will be much more difficult for him to be snubbed once again.
