Andre Drummond will come off the bench for the Detroit Pistons on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Drummond missed the Pistons' morning shootaround. Thon Maker will start in Drummond's place.

The Pistons are 11-19 on the season. They have lost four games in a row.

Drummond is averaging 17.7 points, 16.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game this season for the Pistons. He's shooting 54.0 percent from the field and 61.8 percent from the free-throw line.

After making the playoffs last season for the first time since 2016, the Pistons have been pretty bad this season. They haven't won three games in a row yet.

Drummond can become an unrestricted free agent after this season ends if he declines his 2020-21 player option with Detroit. Drummond was the ninth overall pick in the 2012 draft by the Pistons. He's established himself as one of the best rebounders in NBA history.

It will be interesting to see how Drummond handles this benching. The Sixers are the more talented team and have already defeated Detroit once this season. Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose will return to the lineup for Detroit, but the Sixers will still be favored to win.

Detroit might have to blow up the roster this season and trade Blake Griffin and Drummond if the team doesn't get it together soon.
