Now that he is already part of the Detroit Pistons, Blake Griffin will have first hand experience of how it's like to represent The Motor City and be cheered by their fans. When asked what he thinks is the difference he's seen so far from Los Angeles' to his current team's fan base, he did not hesitate to share what he has observed.

The five-time All-Star said that Detroit's is “real” compared to L.A.'s as the glitz and glamour of Hollywood tends to keep their fans busy about a lot of things outside of basketball. He also hinted that he thinks that the residents of Detroit are more focused on their sports teams, via ClutchPoints' own Alex Vejar.

Griffin was surprisingly traded by the L.A. Clippers on Monday to the Pistons in exchange for Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic and a first round pick. It sent shockwaves through the basketball world as not a lot of people expected it especially with his name not being in a lot of chatter about being involved in a possible trade. It apparently shocked him as well and only found out he was getting moved the same time as the news broke out.

With the Pistons, Griffin will have the chance to form one of the best frontcourt duos in all of the NBA today as he is paired up front together with rebounding machine, Andre Drummond. He will also have the opportunity to extend his playoff run to seven seasons if he can help the Pistons crack one of the top eight spots in the Eastern Conference, as they are only a game behind the Philadelphia 76ers who are currently occupying the last postseason slot.
