When Blake Griffin signed a five-year, $173 million contract to remain with the Los Angeles Clippers during the summer of 2017, the city of Los Angeles surely felt like home to him.

Now, Griffin is calling a different place home.

After being traded to the Detroit Pistons a year ago, Griffin has become accustomed to life in Michigan, saying he is very happy to be a member of the Pistons, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic:

“I’m very, very happy here,” Griffin said of his adjustment from L.A. to Detroit. “This has been a great experience — this organization, these guys, last year’s coaching staff, this year’s coaching staff. It’s made that change easy. It definitely feels like home.”

It definitely seems that Griffin is happy in Detroit when you take a look at his numbers.

This season, the 29-year-old is averaging a career-high 25.1 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists over 35.9 minutes per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the floor, 36.5 percent from three-point range and 74.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Last year, in 25 games for the Pistons, Griffin wasn't quite as effective, registering 19.8 points, 6.6 boards and 6.2 assists across 33.2 minutes a night, making 43.3 percent of his field-goal attempts, 34.8 percent of his long-distance tries and 78.4 percent of his foul shots.

However, to be fair to Blake, at that time, he was coming off of a knee injury, and he was clearly having a bit of difficulty adjusting to life in Detroit after spending the first seven-and-a-half years of his career with the Clippers.

The Pistons are currently 17-20 on the year.
