Detroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin just had the best game of his NBA career.

The Pistons hosted Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers at home Tuesday night, and Griffin put on a show for the Detroit crowd. The high-flyer scored a career-high 50 points. His last three points of the game were the most important.

Trailing 132-130 with 4.6 seconds left in overtime, Blake Griffin got the inbound pass from guard Reggie Bullock. Griffin did a fake handoff with Bullock, drove to the basket, and hit an and-one layup to tie the game at 132.

Blake Griffin made the free-throw as well, putting the Pistons up one. Joel Embiid then missed the potential game-winning 3-pointer on the other end, sealing the big win for Detroit.

Blake Griffin shot 20-of-35 from the field, 5-of-10 from beyond the arc, and 5-of-11 from the free-throw line in 44 minutes of action. His partner in crime, center Andre Drummond, got ejected late in the fourth quarter, making this performance by Griffin even more impressive.

For what it’s worth, you can see Joel Embiid being wild here.

The Pistons are now 3-0 on the young season. Blake Griffin came into the game averaging 29.5 points and 10.0 rebounds. The former No. 1 overall pick is making $31.9 million this season. Many pundits around the league said Griffin’s contract is one of the worst in the league. Those critics have been quiet so far this season.
