The Detroit Pistons are 0-3 against the Charlotte Hornets this season. Derrick Rose, who has a history of being a clutch player, failed to come through for the team in their two road losses to the Hornets. However, that wasn't going to stop Blake Griffin and the rest of the players in Detroit from losing faith in the former MVP.

Griffin and the Pistons' trust in Rose has paid off. Rose has played the role of hero in the last two games. Against the Indiana Pacers last Friday, Rose hit clutch shot after clutch shot and dished out the game-winning assist to Griffin, who drained a wide-open triple from the top of the key.

Monday versus the New Orleans Pelicans, Rose scored 17 points in the fourth quarter and hit the game-winning shot over Jrue Holiday. After the game, Griffin said the Pistons have “all the faith in the world” in Rose during clutch moments.

“I think it was after the Charlotte game, we didn't execute down the stretch,” Griffin said, via Andrew Lopez of ESPN. “I went to him and I said, '10 times out of 10, I'm going to you in that situation.' He delivered for us tonight. He's delivered for us the last two games in these situations. We have all the faith in the world in him.”

The Pistons are 10-14 on the season, 6-4 in their last 10 games. While Rose’s scoring has seen a decline since Griffin returned to the lineup, the three-time All-Star still makes a huge impact with his scoring and playmaking.

In 19 games this season, Rose is averaging 16.1 points and 5.8 assists while shooting 48.8 percent from the field.
