The LA Clippers made the most shocking move of the season when they opted to trade away franchise cornerstone Blake Griffin in exchange for Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, and Avery Bradley. The move was highly criticized at first, mostly because the Clippers had just come off signing Griffin to a five-year $171 million deal six months prior to the trade.

Harris went on to thrive with the Clippers as they pursued a playoff spot for most of the regular season. Griffin and his Pistons did the same, but bowed out of playoff contention about a week before them.

Griffin recently appeared in the Pardon My Take podcast, where he discussed a number of topics. One of those topics was Steve Ballmer, who Griffin says he hasn't spoken to since the trade. Late in the below clip, he also took a bit of a jab at the former Microsoft CEO by saying that no one uses Microsoft products.

It's not surprising to see that Griffin and the Clippers didn't part on good terms. The organization put forth a display of Griffin as a Clipper for life in his free agency pitch during the summer of 2017, and almost immediately agreed to stay in Los Angeles. He cited ‘unfinished business' in the press conference a few weeks later, and was traded a couple months later.

The Pistons will likely try to find a coach whose system will adjust to having Blake Griffin, Andre Drummond, and Reggie Jackson on the same team. Spacing was an issue for the team, so it'll be interesting to see what moves they make in free agency.
