Detroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin claims he's 100 percent recovered from his latest knee surgery.

The high-flyer only played in 18 games for the Pistons in 2019-20. Griffin missed the first 10 games of the season after undergoing left knee surgery in the summer of 2019. The All-Star forward then had to get another left knee procedure in January.

Whenever basketball is resumed, Griffin says he'll be ready to go for the Pistons. Which is good news considering he's the best player on the team moving forward:

“I feel great. I've basically been cleared for a while now. I've just been stuck at my house,” Blake Griffin said during an appearance on The Encore with Sage Steele. “I'm ready to go whenever things pick back up.”

Griffin was a shell of himself in the 18 games he played in this season. The former Los Angeles Clippers superstar put up only 15.5 points and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 35.2 percent from the field and 24.3 percent from beyond the arc.

It was devastating for Pistons fans to watch Griffin this season since he was stellar in 2018-19. Blake appeared in 75 games for the Pistons last season and averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game, making the All-Star team and All-NBA third team along the way.

Griffin has arguably one of the worst contracts in the league considering he didn’t play well this season. The former No. 1 overall pick was set to make $34.2 million this season and is owed $36.6 million in 2020-21.

Detroit wants to be competitive in 2020-21 since Griffin will be back. That’s why the Pistons didn’t trade star point guard Derrick Rose at the 2020 trade deadline despite getting calls from multiple teams. Detroit needs another scorer next to Griffin.
