Bradley Beal hits Pistons rookie Cade Cunningham with the ultimate praise after the Pistons vs. Wizards overtime clash.

While Beal had an expected efficient game, scoring 25 points while shooting 10-19 from the field, Cunningham was impressive himself with 21 markers and snatching two steals throughout the overtime thriller. Washington ended up narrowly winning the game, 119-116.

After the cardiac game, Beal praised Detroit's number one overall pick, stressing that Cunningham's talent is no surprise.

“I was always a fan of his in high school. I knew he was a pro before he knew he was a damn pro. He has heart, he has toughness. He’s gonna be a problem.”

Both the Pistons and Wizards have had contrasting narratives this year. Washington is currently among the Eastern Conference's competitive teams, boasting a 15-11 win-loss record, standing at fifth, which surprised many. On the other hand, the Pistons are experiencing quite a problematic season, sitting at the league's bottom with a terrible 4-20 record.

At first, some fans talked some smack due to Cunningham's slow start, with rookies like Evan Mobley and Scottie Barnes sharing the spotlight of impressive young guns. Cunningham is currently averaging 15.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists so far this season, which can be a good sign for the future of a struggling Pistons team.
