The Detroit Pistons were in action on Wednesday, as they took on the Orlando Magic in a thrilling encounter that required an extra period to determine the winner. It was the Magic who emerged with the hard-fought victory, coming away with a 116-112 win despite Detroit's formidable challenge. One of the highlights of the evening happened even before the game started. For some unknown reason, Pistons veteran guard Derrick Rose decided to do an off-the-backboard jam during warmups. It wasn't an ordinary dunk by any means, with the former MVP winner even cocking it back behind his head in what was unquestionably a vintage D.Rose moment.

That's a very impressive dunk from Rose, and the camera view made the moment even more amazing. Let's not forget that Rose is now 31 years young, and has fallen victim to a couple of career-threatening knee injuries, so to see him get up like this is definitely a welcome treat.

Unfortunately for him, however, Rose may have burned himself out during warmups, as he logged one of his worst performances of the season during the ballgame. The 6-foot-2 guard finished with two points on a horrid 1-of-13 from the field (0-of-4 from distance), four assists, a steal, a block, and three turnovers in 17 minutes off the Pistons bench.

Rose was one of the most sought-after names during the recently-concluded trade window, so it comes as a bit of a surprise that he is still with Detroit at this point. The Pistons are now entering a rebuilding phase, so it will be interesting to see how the former first overall pick will figure in the team's plans moving forward.
