It looks like Detroit Pistons point guard Derrick Rose will play on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets after missing Monday's game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Rose didn't play against the Cavs because of right knee soreness. Detroit has removed Rose from its injury report, so that's a good sign:

The Pistons, after losing to the Cavs, are 17-31 on the season. They have lost three straight.

Rose has been the best player for the Pistons this season. He's averaging 18.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 49.5 percent from the field, 31.1 percent from beyond the arc and 86.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Rose is garnering trade interest from a few teams with the trade deadline looming, most notably the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers. The vice chairman of the Pistons is Arn Tellem, who was Rose’s agent before he took that job. Odds are the Pistons' front office will have discussions with Rose and his camp before anything goes down.

The youngest MVP in NBA history, Rose has scored at least 20 points in 12 straight games. The Pistons guard will look to make it 13 straight against Kyrie Irving and the Nets at the Barclays Center.

Rose and Irving had a great duel this past Saturday in Detroit. Irving put up 45 points, while D-Rose poured in 27.
