The Detroit Pistons have been added to the list of teams interested in Phoenix Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times. Though any impending trade would depend on the Suns' willingness to take Reggie Jackson in exchange, along with added pieces surrounding him.

The Motor City has had its fair share of ups and downs with Jackson through his short stint in a Pistons uniform since coming from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for D.J. Augustin. Jackson initially showed promise during his first half of a season with the team, but his shot selection and at times questionable decision-making proved to ruffle some feathers with head coach Stan Van Gundy.

The Boston College product has also been mired with injuries, mainly revolving around tendinitis through his time in Detroit. Jackson is one of the top-two highest paid players on the franchise and has failed to make his worth show after the team missed the playoff berth completely after cracking the eighth spot in 2015-16.

A backcourt of Bledsoe and Avery Bradley, though small, should provide better defensive intensity and added grit — an intangible which Van Gundy has looked to instill in his players since becoming the president and head coach of the team.
