The Detroit Pistons reportedly have Portland Trail Blazers combo guard Seth Curry on their target list this summer, according to James Edwards III of The Athletic.

Curry becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He made $2.8 million this season with the Blazers.

Steph Curry’s little bro, Seth — a deadeye shooter in his own right but not quite the same breaker of boundaries as big bro — will be a free agent this offseason. The Pistons, who will be in the market come July 1 to sign a backup point guard and bolster their 3-point shooting, have Curry on their target list, per league sources.

During the regular season, Curry averaged 7.9 points while shooting 45.6 percent from the field, 45.0 percent from beyond the arc and 84.6 percent from the free-throw line. Curry was third in the NBA in 3-point percentage.

Pistons starting point guard Reggie Jackson has one year left on his contract. There has been talk that the Pistons want to move on from Jackson, who will make $18 million in 2019-20.

Detroit needs more perimeter shooting around Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond, as both All-Stars command double-teams when they have the ball in the post. The Pistons were 23rd in the league this season in 3-point percentage, shooting 34.8 percent as a team.

The Pistons made the playoffs this season for the first time since 2016, but they got swept by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round.
